MOKENA—As the State of Illinois’s fiscal year 2010 came to a close on June 30th, the budget deficit still looms with no immediate relief in sight. State Representative Renée Kosel (R-New Lenox) is proving that she has always been fiscally responsible with her practice of closely watching the expenses which her district office incurs.
“While serving the constituents of the 81st District is my office’s first priority, my staff and I also have a priority to watch every penny that is spent to keep the office running smoothly and without a hitch,” stated Kosel. “I have a very excellent understanding office staff, who recognized that an increase in their salary would not be an option and has not been for the last few years.”
While conserving spending in her district office, Rep. Kosel was able to return a portion of her district office allotment to the State of Illinois.
“I believe it is important that the practice of fiscal responsibility should start ‘at home’,” Kosel said. “I will continue to monitor expenses associated with my district office to ensure that I and my staff are again fiscally responsible during this current fiscal year.”
